Thank you for your interest in Northpointe Veterinary Care. My name is Dr. Katie Engleman, owner of the practice. Like most veterinarians, my passion for animals began to bud at an early age. Unlike many veterinarians, I was not able to grow up with animals in the house as both of my parents are allergic. However, they were able to find a work around for this in the form of my horse, Cheyenne for which I will forever be grateful. I grew up in a small rural town in Michigan where I took my first job in the field as a kennel assistant and later a veterinary assistant. It was here I knew vet med was my future. I graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s in medical microbiology before continuing on to Western University of Health Sciences to earn my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. I am eager for the opportunity to provide the pets of Muskingum county and surrounding areas with high quality care. My highest priority is to create a culture where clients, pets and our staff feel respected and comfortable. Cheyenne made the move to Ohio with us in addition to our cat Kiwi. Since moving to Ohio, we have added a dog named Bernard and 7 chickens. I look forward to meeting you!
